FINTOP contains Butenafine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungals. It is used for the topical treatment of tinea versicolor (fungal infection of the skin), tinea corporis (fungal infection of the body), athlete’s foot (fungal infection of the toes and feet), and crotch itch (fungal infection of the groin and pubic region).

Used for the topical treatment of:
FINTOP works by interfering with the synthesis of certain essential components of the fungal cell membrane that causes increased cellular permeability of the cell membrane resulting in leakage of cellular contents causing destruction of the fungal cells and thus effectively treats fungal infection.
Apply FINTOP as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Wash your hands before and after using the medicine. Apply a thin layer of this medicine over the affected area and its close surrounding. Do not cover the treated area with occlusive dressing (airtight covering including plastic wrap or bandage). Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age and disease condition.
Stop using FINTOP and contact your doctor if you experience any of the following side effects:
Itchy skin:
Avoid hot showers because hot water can irritate your skin further. Try to pat or tap your skin instead of scratching the affected area. Avoid sun exposure or UV rays as it may sensitize your skin. Use sunscreen and protective clothing when going outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin. Avoid using perfumed soaps, deodorants or moisturizers.
FINTOP should be used with caution during pregnancy only if it is considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
FINTOP should be used with caution in breastfeeding women as it may pass through breast milk. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
FINTOP has no or negligible effect on your ability to drive or use machinery. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
FINTOP should be used with caution in patients with severe renal failure. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
FINTOP should be used with caution in patients with severe liver failure. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Do not apply FINTOP if you are allergic to butenafine or any other ingredients of this medicine.
