    Introduction About DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET

    DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET is a combination of Atorvastatin and Ezetimibe which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-hyperlipidemic agents. It is used for the management of patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (high amounts of cholesterol in the blood). It is used along with a proper diet to lower bad cholesterol and fats (LDL, triglycerides) and raise good cholesterol (HDL) in the blood.

    High cholesterol is when you have too much of a fatty substance called cholesterol in your blood. Cholesterol is a type of fat (or lipid) in the blood. Having high levels of fats in the blood can lead to serious health problems such as heart disease.

    Regular monitoring of blood sugar levels, and liver function is recommended while taking this DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET.

    Before taking DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems or heart problems or high blood pressure.

    Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.

    The most common side effects of taking DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET are joint pain, diarrhoea, tendon problems, memory loss, confusion, depression, muscle and body pain. Contact your doctor if any of the above symptoms worsen.

    How DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET Works

    DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET is a combination of Atorvastatin and Ezetimibe where Atorvastatin works by managing your body from making bad cholesterol (LDL) while raising good cholesterol (HDL) levels. Ezetimibe works by managing absorption of cholesterol from the intestines. Together, they provide better reduction of cholesterol in your body.

    How to use DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET

    Take DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

    Side Effects Of DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET

    Common

    Rare

    Stop taking DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • serious allergic reactions symptoms such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat that may cause difficultyin breathing or swallowing,rash, itching,severe dizziness, trouble breathing
    • muscle problems such as rhabdomyolysis and autoimmune myopathy (symptoms such as unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, especially fever or feel more tired than usual
    • liver problems symptoms such as feel tired or weak, loss of appetite, upper belly pain, dark urine, yellowing of your skin or the whites of your eyes, severe stomach pain, persistent nausea, or vomiting.
    • kidney problems symptoms such as change in the amount of urine

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Diarrhoea:

    Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juices to keep yourself hydrated. Avoid taking any medicine on your own for managing diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if the symptom did not improve.

    Breastfeeding

    Driving and Using Machines

    Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel dizziness after taking DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET.

    Alcohol

    Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during management with this DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET because it can increase the risk of liver problems.

    Kidney

    DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

    Liver

    DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with active liver disease.Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

    Allergy

    Do not take DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET if you are allergic to Atorvastatin, Ezetimibe or any other ingredients of this medicine.

    Others

    Before taking DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET, inform your doctor if you have:

    • thyroid problems
    • diabetes
    • unexplained muscle aches or weakness
    • any other medical conditions

    Use in pediatrics:

    DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET is not recommended for use in children less than 6 years of age, because there is no information in this age group. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

    Use in geriatrics:

    DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (above 65 years of age). Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

    Interactions

    A. Drug-Drug interactions:

    Before taking DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:

    • cholestyramine, colestipol, gemfibrozil (used to manage cholesterol)
    • daptomycin,telithromycin (used to manage infections)
    • medicines used for birth control
    • medicines used to manage heart failure
    • ritonavir (used to manage HIV or AIDS)
    • glecaprevir, pibrentasvir, telaprevir (used to manage hepatitis C)
    • medicines used to manage gout
    • cyclosporine (used to manage organ rejection)

    B. Drug - Food interaction:

    Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice or red yeast rice while taking DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET as it may increase the risk of side effects.

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of DYSLIPTIN EZ TABLET, consult your doctor immediately.
