Talk to your doctor before using this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic to Calcipotriol or any of the ingredients of this medicine
  • have calcium metabolism disorders
  • have severe liver or kidney problem
  • have guttate, erythrodermic, exfoliative or pustular psoriasis
  • have excess calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia)
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine
  • Do not use this medicine on children under 6 years old
  • The dose will depend on the condition of psoriasis
  • Check with your doctor if you develop any effects that may interfere with your ability to drive, operate machinery
  • Tell your doctor if you are using any other topical products such as cream, lotion, ointment, gel
  • Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Do not use it on your face
  • Always wash your hands before using this medicine
  • Apply your medicine on the affected part of your skin which has psoriasis
  • Use DAIVONEX twice each day

 If you use more DAIVONEX

  • Contact your doctor straight away

If you forget to use DAIVONEX

  • If you forget to use your medicine, use it as soon as you remember
  • Then next use your medicine at the usual time

If you stop using DAIVONEX

  • Before stop using of this medicine consult your doctor

Like all medicines, DAIVONEX can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

  • difficulty in breathing
  • swelling of your face or body
  • severe rash, particularly if the skin is blistering or bleeding
  • loss of appetite
  • pain in your muscles or bones
  • skin irritation
  • worsening of your psoriasis
  • dermatitis
  • redness
  • flaking skin
  • burning or stinging feeling
  • itchy rash and skin inflammation in the area where the medicine is used
  • pain in the area where the medicine is used
  • folliculitis (infection in the hair follicle)
  • red, itchy, scaly rash, blisters, eczema
  • dry skin
  • changes in skin color where the medicine is used
  • temporary increased sensitivity to sunlight
  • skin swelling or puffiness (oedema)
  • itchy raised rash (hives)
  • seborrhoeic dermatitis (such as dandruff or cradle cap)
