BURNFREE CREAM is a combination of Chlorhexidine and Silver nitrate which belongs to the group of medicines called Topical antimicrobial agents. It is used in the treatment, prevention and control of infections in the condition such as minor skin burns or scalds, minor cuts injuries and scrape wounds, cracked skin. It is also used to treat, prevent and control bacterial infections associated with urinary tract infections, ear infections, skin cleaning and before a surgical procedure.
Your doctor may advise you to undergo relevant medical tests to understand your existing condition. BURNFREE CREAM is not recommended for use if you are planning for a surgical procedure. It is also not advised for use in the mouth, vagina and inner ear. Consult your doctor for advice.
BURNFREE CREAM should be used with caution in pregnant women and breastfeeding mother. The possible side effects of using BURNFREE CREAM may include burning or irritating sensation of the skin, chillness, skin rashes. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects get worse.
It is used to treat, prevent and control bacterial infections in conditions such as:
BURNFREE CREAM prevents, controls and fights against the bacterial infection of the damaged skin. Chlorhexidine works by binding strongly with skin and works against infectious microorganisms. Hence, it effectively cleans out wounds and burns to prevent them from getting infected. Silver Nitrate stops bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication works against bacteria and treats skin infection due to burns.
Apply BURNFREE CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Apply a thin layer of this medicine to the affected area. Avoid contact with this medicine in your eyes.
Stop using BURNFREE CREAM and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Avoid hot showers because hot water can irritate your skin further. Do not scratch the affected area. Use protective clothing when going outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin. Consult your doctor if the symptom worsens.
BURNFREE CREAM should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor for advice if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy.
BURNFREE CREAM should be used by breastfeeding mothers if recommended by your doctor. Consult your doctor for advice.
Do not use BURNFREE CREAM if you are allergic to Chlorhexidine, Silver nitrate or any other ingredients of this medicine.

BURNFREE CREAM should be used with caution in elderly patients. Your doctor will decide the dose and its frequency depending on the severity of your existing condition.
