The summer market is flooded with fruits and its time to bring home these natural nutritional wonders. Delicious and healthy, popsicles are super easy to make and can be relished as a refreshing summer treat.
Popsicles are nothing, but frozen pieces of fruits and juices and it will be loved by children and adults alike.
Here are two very popular, popsicle recipes.
Watermelon popsicles with strawberry, kiwi, grapes are sweet to taste.
Watermelon is a storehouse of vitamins A, C, K and minerals potassium, iron and copper. Strawberry and kiwi are loaded with dense nutrients providing you with your daily dose of essential vitamins and minerals.
1 cup chopped watermelon
1 thinly sliced, kiwi fruit
5 chopped grapes
1 tbsp powdered sugar
In a mixer take watermelon, strawberry and sugar, blend to smooth puree without adding water.
Place kiwi fruit slice in each popsicle mould. Pour the prepared juice in the mould covering three-fourth.
Add few chopped grapes into the popsicles and cover the mould.
Freeze popsicles for 4-5 hours or till set completely.
To easily remove the popsicle from the mould, dip in a glass of water for 10 seconds.
Orange popsicles are tangy to taste and are instant energizers.
Oranges are loaded with vitamin C, folate, thiamine and potassium. It is a powerhouse of antioxidants that shields you from diseases and boosts the immune system.
200ml orange juice
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp vanilla essence
Blend orange juice and lemon juice well.
Add powdered sugar, vanilla essence and stir well.
Pour the prepared juice in the mould.
Freeze the popsicles for 4-5 hours or till set completely.
Dip the popsicle in a glass of water for 10 seconds, to easily remove.
Delicious orange delight is ready to be served.
