Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills the susceptible bacteria that causes gut infection. Racecadotril is an antidiarrheal medicine. It reduces hypersecretion of water and electrolytes within the intestines. This reduces fluid loss from the body in the form of diarrhoea. Collectively, they help in treating acute infectious diarrhea.
