Introduction About WESCOLAX TABLET
Wescolax Tablet is a laxative medicine used to manage constipation. It can also be used to cleanse bowel prior to any surgeries or diagnostic procedures. It contains Bisacodyl as an active ingredient.
Bisacodyl works by retaining more water/fluid within the intestines which softens hard stools, thus facilitating the easy passage of feces. It also increases the number of bowel movements which helps in relieving occasional constipation and in cleansing bowel prior to certain diagnostic and surgical procedures.
Wescolax Tablet should be used under medical supervision. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
Wescolax Tablet should be used only as a short-term therapy. Therefore, if you don’t see any improvement in your condition, consult your doctor for advice. Do not take this medicine for a prolonged period without consulting your doctor.
While taking this medicine, exercise regularly and eat a well-balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables to achieve better results. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of water/fluids.
Before taking Wescolax Tablet inform your doctor if you have severe dehydration or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have any block or inflammation of the gut or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
