Introduction About PANTOGLEN 40 NEW TABLET
PANTOGLEN 40 NEW TABLET is used to manage peptic ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and reflux esophagitis and its associated symptoms such as acidity, heartburn, acid reflux and pain in swallowing. It contains Pantoprazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Proton pump inhibitors. PANTOGLEN 40 NEW TABLET can also be used to manage peptic ulcer caused due to long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as aspirin, ibuprofen).
Take PANTOGLEN 40 NEW TABLET at least 1 hour before meals to achieve maximum benefits. During management with PANTOGLEN 40 NEW TABLET your doctor will closely monitor kidney functions, liver functions and blood magnesium levels to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects. Before taking inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have weak bones or any previous history of bleeding in the gut.
Consult your doctor before taking PANTOGLEN 40 NEW TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The most common side effects are dryness of mouth, constipation and flatulence. You must also inform your doctor immediately if you experience severe tiredness with abnormal muscle movements, dizziness, confusion, disorientation and irregular heartbeat, as it could be a sign of low magnesium levels in blood.

How PANTOGLEN 40 NEW TABLET Works
PANTOGLEN 40 NEW TABLET contains Pantoprazole which helps to reduce gastric acid secretion by the blocking the actions of a protein membrane called H+K+Atpase (proton pump) across the stomach lining. As a result, it manages the worsening of ulcers, heals the existing ulcers and esophageal lesions and provides relief from the unpleasant symptoms of GI tract (such as acidity, heartburn and acid reflux).
How to use PANTOGLEN 40 NEW TABLET
- Take PANTOGLEN 40 NEW TABLET 30 minutes to 1 hour before meals or as advised by your physician
- Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine
- Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition
- Do not stop taking PANTOGLEN 40 NEW TABLET unless your doctor advice you to stop

- signs of bleeding in the gut (such as bloody vomits/stools)
- uncontrollable body movements (including eye and tongue), twisted neck and abnormal body posture
