Introduction About ALFACIP 0.5MCG CAPSULE
Alfacip 0.5Mcg Capsule is a dietary supplement which helps in the management of hypocalcemia, secondary hyperparathyroidism and osteodystrophy. It stimulates intestinal calcium and phosphorus absorption, the reabsorption of calcium from bone and possibly the renal reabsorption of calcium.
Alfacalcidol is a Vitamin D active metabolite that plays a key role in calcium balance and bone metabolism. It is a Vitamin D-hormone analogue that is activated in the liver by the enzyme 25-hydroxylase for systemic and local D-hormone activities. It has a distinct pattern of pleiotropic effects on the gut, bone, parathyroids, muscle, and brain. Alfacip 0.5Mcg Capsule is not recommended in patients with hypercalcemia, hyperphosphatemia, or evidence of vitamin D.
Take Alfacip 0.5Mcg Capsule as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage. Do not take if you are allergic or hypersensitive to Alfacalcidol. If you experience any unusual side effects such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, dry mouth, feeling weak, sleepy, dizzy, headache, sweating, consult your physician.
