INTRODUCTION

ZYVISC PFS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION contains Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose which belongs to the group of medicines called Demulcents. It is used to alleviate dry eye conditions by substituting tear fluid in affected individuals. It is also used to provide temporary relief from burning irritation from dryness of eye.

ZYVISC PFS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION is not recommended for use in patients who are allergic to hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. It is also not recommended for use if you are undergoing any surgery. Before using ZYVISC PFS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION, inform your doctor if you wear contact lenses.

ZYVISC PFS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It should be used with caution in children and elderly patients. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.

The most common side effects of using ZYVISC PFS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION are eye irritation/redness, itchy eyes, blurred vision, and eye pain. Consult your doctor if any of the side effect worsens.

HOW ZYVISC PFS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION WORKS

ZYVISC PFS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION is a hydrophilic polymer which works by crosslinking on the eye surface resulting in increased tear clearance time and promoting eye lubrication thus providing relief from symptoms associated with eye dryness in affected individuals.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Use ZYVISC PFS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION as advised by your physician. It is for ophthalmic use only. Place the recommended number of gel drops inside the lower eyelid by squeezing the container. Do not use this product if its colour changes or becomes cloudy. Do not touch the container tip to avoid any contamination. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Eye Pain Or Sensitivity

Rest your eyes by closing or sleeping. Avoid bright lights, reading, watching the television, and working on the computer. Keep eyes closed and gently massage your eyes for few seconds to relieve the muscles.

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Use with Caution

Do not drive or operate machines if you experience blurred vision after using ZYVISC PFS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION.

ALLERGY
Contraindicated

Do not use ZYVISC PFS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION if you are allergic to Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose or any other ingredients of this medicine.

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally administer excess quantity of ZYVISC PFS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION, then consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital to manage overdose symptoms.
