Talk to your doctor before taking ZILZOX 80MG, If you,

  • are allergic to Azilsartan medoxomil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have diabetes
  • are on dialysis or had a recent kidney transplant
  • have severe liver or kidney disease
  • have heart problems (including heart failure, recent heart attack)
  • have ever had a stroke
  • have low blood pressure
  • recently had severe vomiting or have diarrhoea
  • have raised levels of potassium in your blood (as shown in blood tests)
  • have a disease of the adrenal gland called primary hyperaldosteronism

  • ZILZOX 80MG is not recommended in early pregnancy, and must not be taken when more than 3 months pregnant, as it may cause serious harm to your baby if used after the third month of pregnancy
  • If you are breast feeding ask your doctor before taking this medicine

Tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:

  • Lithium (a medicine for mental health problems)
  • Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen, diclofenac or celecoxib (medicines to relieve pain and inflammation)
  • Acetylsalicylic acid if taking more than 3 g per day (medicine to relieve pain and inflammation)
  • potassium supplements, potassium-sparing medicines or salt substitutes containing potassium
  • Heparin (a medicine as blood thinners)
  • Diuretics
  • Aliskiren or other medicines to lower your blood pressure (angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor or angiotensin II receptor blocker, such as Ramipril or Telmisartan, Irbesartan)

  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • It is important to keep take ZILZOX 80MG every day at the same time
  • Take the tablet with plenty of water
  • You can take this medicine with or without food
  • The usual starting dose is 40 mg once a day
  • If you suffer from mild or moderate liver disease your doctor may recommend a lower starting dose of 20 mg once a day

If you take more ZILZOX 80MG

  • If you take too many tablets, contact your doctor immediately
  • You may feel faint or dizzy if you have taken more

 

If you forget to take ZILZOX 80MG

  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
  • Just take the next dose at the usual time

 

If you stop taking ZILZOX 80MG

  • Do not stop taking ZILZOX 80MG without first talking to your doctor
