VOXYLID 600MG contain linezolid which belongs to a group of medicine called oxazolidinones. It is used to treat pneumonia and some infections in the skin soft tissue infections caused by infection with Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bacteria. Pneumonia is an infection of lung which causes inflammation in alveoli (the air sacs in your lung). The alveoli fill with fluid or pus, making it difficult to breathe.
VOXYLID 600MG stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Drinking alcohol, draught beers and wine, eating large amounts of mature cheese yeast extracts, or soya bean extracts should be avoided during this treatment since this medicine may react with a substance called tyramine which is naturally present in some foods. This interaction may cause an increase in your blood pressure.
Always take VOXYLID 600MG exactly as your doctor has told you. It is strictly not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine. The most common side effects are headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, changes in numbers of certain cells in the blood.

Always take VOXYLID 600MG exactly as your doctor has told you. It can be taken before, during or after food and try to take at the same time each day. It should be swallowed whole with water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
Headache:
Apply hot or cold-water bag on your head. Take rest in a quiet and dark room. Drink tea or coffee.
Diarrhoea:
Drink lot of fluid such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Do not take any other medicines without talking to a doctor.
Nausea or vomiting:
Try taking this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food.
Dizziness:
Get up and move around to feel awake, take small naps to edge off the sleepiness. Give your eyes a break to avoid fatigue and eat a healthy food to boost energy.
Abdominal pain:
Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or have smaller and frequent meals. Applying heat pad or covered hot water bottle on your stomach. If still pain persists, speak to your doctor.
Constipation:
Take fibre rich foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables and cereals and drink plenty of water. Exercise more regularly.
Fever:
Drink plenty of fluids and water. Avoid taking cold bath or showers.
VOXYLID 600MG is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
VOXYLID 600MG is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
Do not drive or operate any machine while taking this medicine as it may cause dizziness or vision problems and unwell.
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with VOXYLID 600MG.
VOXYLID 600MG should be used with caution in patients suffering from active kidney diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.
VOXYLID 600MG should be used with caution in patients suffering from liver function impairment or active liver diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.
Do not take VOXYLID 600MG if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to linezolid or any other ingredients in this medicine.
