VOMETIL MD contains prochlorperazine which belongs to a group of medicines called phenothiazine tranquillisers. It works by blocking the effects of a chemical in the brain. It is used in the vertigo, Meniere’s syndrome and other labyrinthine disorders, nausea and vomiting.
Always take this medicine as directed by physician. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of therapy depending upon your age, weight and condition. Do not take VOMETIL MD if you have jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), epilepsy, muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis) and increased pressure in the eye (glaucoma). Inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney and heart problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women consult their doctor before taking this medicine. Tell your doctor if you are taking or taken or might take any other medicines. The most common side effects include orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing) headache, nausea, constipation.
It works by blocking the action of Dopamine in the brain.

Skin rash:
Avoid bath in hot water because hot water can irritate the skin. Moisturizers can be used regular basis to soothe and hydrate the affected area.
VOMETIL MD is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Do not drive or operate any machinery while taking this medicine, it may make you feel sleepy.
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with VOMETIL MD.
