VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET contains Voglibose which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-diabetics. It is used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus along with diet and exercise to improve post-prandial blood glucose levels (when only diet and/or exercise or oral hypoglycemic drugs or insulin preparation in addition to diet and/or exercise does not result in adequate glycemic control).
Type 2 diabetes is a chronic medical condition in which the body does not make enough insulin, or the produced insulin does not work well. Symptoms include excessive urination, excessive thirst, hunger, fatigue, and blurred vision.
Along management with VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET follow regular exercise and diet plan as advised by your doctor to achieve better results.
VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients having severe ketosis, in a state of diabetic coma or pre-coma, severe infection, before and after an operation, or with serious trauma and gastrointestinal obstruction.
VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients undergoing abdominal laparotomy for gallstone ileus or have roemheld’s syndrome, stenosis, liver, and kidney problems and in elderly patients.
VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET is not recommended for use among pregnant, breastfeeding women, children, and adolescents.
The most common side effects of taking VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET are soft stools or diarrhea, flatulence, bloating, abdominal pain or discomfort, abdominal fullness, and nausea. Contact your doctor if any of the above symptoms worsen.
VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET works by inhibiting the intestinal enzymes that are responsible for breaking complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents the level of blood glucose from increasing very high immediately after meals.
Take VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET as advised by your physician.
For Tablet: Swallow VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
For Dispersible Tablet: Disperse VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET in the specified quantity of water as mentioned on the label or as directed by the doctor. Consume the mixture immediately after reconstitution.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Continue to take VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET for the stipulated duration prescribed by your doctor to achieve better results.
Stop taking VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Eat smaller and frequent meals. Slowly eat and drink, and exercise regularly. If the symptom does not improve, contact your physician.
Drink more fluids, such as water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not take any medicine on your own without consulting your physician.
Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil-rich or spicy foods. In case of no improvement, consult your doctor.
Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have smaller and frequent meals. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. If the symptom does not improve, contact your physician.
VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the foetus. Consult your doctor before taking it.
VOGLISTIN MD 0.3MG TABLET is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may passes through breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking it.
