What VOCITA 10MG is used for?

It is used to treat,

  • depression
  • panic disorders including fear of wide-open spaces (agoraphobia) or crowds

Talk to your Doctor, if you:

  • are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have epilepsy or have ever had a fit
  • have diabetes
  • have or have ever had a history of overactive behavior or thoughts (mania)
  • are having ECT (electro-convulsive treatment)
  • have bleeding disorders or have ever suffered from bleeding in the stomach or intestine
  • have problems with your eyes, such as certain kinds of glaucoma or you have in history of glaucoma
  • have liver or kidney disease
  • suffer or have suffered from heart problems or have recently had a heart attack
  • have a low resting heart rate
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • VOCITA 10MG is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years
  • VOCITA 10MG has a minor or moderate influence on the ability to drive and use machines. Do not drive or use machines if you feel you are affected

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), tricyclic
  • drugs used for depression
  • selegiline (used for Parkinson’s disease)
  • fentiazine derivatives, pimozide, haloperidol (used to treat psychiatric problems)
  • linezolid (used to treat pneumonia and infections in skin)
  • sparfloxacin, moxifloxacin, erythromycin IV, pentamidine, halofantrine (certain antimicrobial agents)
  • astemizole, mizolastine (antihistamines)
  • perphenazine, risperidone and lithium (used for mental illness)
  • phenytoin, sodium valproate, phenobarbital or carbamazepine (used for epilepsy)
  • acetylsalicylic acid, aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen, diclofenac, tramadol (used to treat pain)
  • sumatriptan (used for migraine)
  • anticoagulant (used to treat or prevent blood clots)
  • metoprolol, a beta blocker (used to treat migraine, some heart conditions and high blood pressure)
  • cimetidine (used to heal active stomach and duodenal ulcers)
  • mefloquine (used to treat malaria)
  • neuroleptics (used in the treatment of schizophrenia)
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Swallow the medicine with a glass of water

If you take more VOCITA 10MG

  • If you think that you have taken too many tablets, contact your doctor
  • Symptoms of overdosage: nausea, vomiting, dizziness, sweating, fits, being very sleepy, tremor, having a blue color to the skin, fast short breathing, changes in blood pressure, a staring or fixed look on the face, changes in heart rhythm, a fast or irregular heartbeat, agitation, enlarged eye pupils or serotonin syndrome

If you forget to take VOCITA 10MG

  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose

If you stop taking VOCITA 10MG

  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Very Rare
  • difficulty in breathing
  • swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, face, lips or throat which may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing
  • itchy, lumpy rash (hives) or nettle rash (urticaria)
  • thoughts of harming or killing yourself
  • unpleasant or distressing restlessness accompanied by inability to sit or stand
  • feel confused, agitated, sweaty, shaky, shiver, high fever, confusion hallucinations, jerking muscles, muscle spasm
  • unusual bruising or bleeding
  • blood in your vomit or stools
  • yellowing or your skin or eyes and your urine becomes darker in color
  • trembling, muscle stiffness or spasm, slow movement, producing more saliva than usual
  • tiredness, confusion and twitching of your muscles
  • hyponatremia
  • being sleepy or drowsy or finding it difficult to sleep
  • headaches, dry mouth
  • changes in your sleeping pattern
  • diarrhoea, constipation
  • feeling agitated or nervous, anxious, shaky or dizziness
  • ringing in your ears (tinnitus)
  • anorexia, losing weight
  • migraines
  • muscle and joint pain, stomachache, passing wind
  • runny or itchy nose blocked or painful sinuses
  • painful period cramps
  • sexual problems including being unable to get an erection, having delayed or no ejaculation, or being unable to have an orgasm, abnormal orgasm (female)
  • amnesia
  • tremor
  • increased appetite, putting on weight
  • aggression
  • menstrual periods which are heavier or last longer than usual
  • edema
  • loss of hair, balding
  • redness of the skin with blood spots
  • difficult urinating
  • increased sex drive
  • changes in the way things taste
  • coughing
  • bleeding under skin or mucous membrane
  • involuntary movements
  • hepatitis
