VENTTO MD 4 TABLET contains Ondansetron, which belongs to a group of medicines called Anti-emetics. It is used to treat and prevent nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy or radiotherapy. VENTTO MD 4 TABLET is also used after surgeries (operation) to prevent nausea and vomiting.
Before taking VENTTO MD 4 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have severe constipation, heart or liver problems, imbalance with the levels of salts in the blood, such as potassium, sodium and magnesium or if you have been scheduled for any surgery.
VENTTO MD 4 TABLET is not recommended for use during pregnancy. This medicine may pass through the breast milk hence it is not recommended during breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
The dose of VENTTO MD 4 TABLET will depends on the age, body weight and disease condition of your child. Dosage adjustment is not required in elderly patients, hence consult your doctor before taking VENTTO MD 4 TABLET.
The most common side effects of taking VENTTO MD 4 TABLET includes headache, flushing and constipation. Consult your doctor if any of these above symptoms gets worse.
VENTTO MD 4 TABLET is a serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonist (specific chemical receptor) which works by blocking serotonin receptors in CTZ chemoreceptor trigger zone (zone in the brain that is responsible for causing nausea and vomiting).
Take VENTTO MD 4 TABLET as advised by your physician. It can be taken with or without food.
For Tablet, Capsule: Swallow VENTTO MD 4 TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
For Dispersible Tablet: Disperse the medicine in the specified quantity of water as mentioned in the label. Consume the medicine immediately after reconstitution.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and severity of the infection.
Stop taking VENTTO MD 4 TABLET and contact your doctor if you experience any of the following side effects:
Headache:
Take rest. Have good amount of sleep. Have a balanced diet and at regular intervals. Add more fluids to your diet. Drink plenty of water to replenish water stores.
Constipation:
Eat plenty of fibre rich foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, and cereals. Drink water and exercise regularly. Contact your doctor if constipation persists.
Dizziness:
Lie down until the dizziness passes and get up slowly. Do not bend down suddenly. Get a lot of rest. Walk slowly and carefully. Take plenty of fluids. Avoid drinking coffee, alcohol or smoking. Consult your doctor if the condition persists for long or gets worsened.
VENTTO MD 4 TABLET is generally not recommended for use during pregnancy unless considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking VENTTO MD 4 TABLET.

Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel dizzy or uneasy after taking VENTTO MD 4 TABLET.

Do not take VENTTO MD 4 TABLET if you are allergic to ondansetron, granisetron or palonosetron or to any other ingredients of this medicine.
