VARIMAX 10MG TABLET contains Vardenafil which belongs to the group of medicines called Phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. VARIMAX 10MG TABLET is used to treat erectile dysfunction in adult men, which is a condition that occurs when men can’t get/keep an erection firm during sexual intercourse.
VARIMAX 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Vardenafil. It is also not recommended for use in patients who recently have/had stroke, low blood pressure, degenerative eye disease (such as retinitis pigmentosa), severe heart disease (such as heart attack), and/or severe liver disease. The medicine is also not recommended for use in patients undergoing kidney dialysis.
Before taking VARIMAX 10MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have a disease that affects shape of the penis (such as angulation, Peyronie’s disease, cavernosal fibrosis), and/or suffer from priapism (illness that cause erectile dysfunction), stomach ulcers (gastric/peptic ulcers)/bleeding disorders (such as haemophilia).
VARIMAX 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women since the medicine is intended to be used only in men.
VARIMAX 10MG TABLET is also not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) since the medicine is intended to be used only in adult men. It is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years/above) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side-effects of using VARIMAX 10MG TABLET are headache, dizziness, flushing, blocked/runny nose, and/or indigestion. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.
VARIMAX 10MG TABLET works by preventing the action of phosphodiesterase-5 (chemical present in the blood vessel wall) which cause relaxation of blood vessels and improves blood flow to the penis resulting in firm penile erection and preventing the occurrence of erectile dysfunction during sexual intercourse in affected individuals.
Take VARIMAX 10MG TABLET as advised by your doctor. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, disease condition and body weight.
Stop taking VARIMAX 10MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side-effects:
Headache:
If VARIMAX 10MG TABLET causes headache, then take rest and drink plenty of fluids. Try to avoid drinking alcohol. Ask your doctor to recommend a painkiller. Headaches should usually go away after the first week of taking VARIMAX 10MG TABLET. If it lasts more than a week or becomes severe, then consult and inform your doctor.
Dizziness:
Try to rest and get enough sleep. Try to avoid driving or operating any tools or machines while you feel dizzy. Limit consumption of alcohol, as it can aggravate dizziness. Consult and inform your doctor if the symptom worsens.
Indigestion:
Try to have smaller and more frequent meals and drink slowly. Reduce consumption of coffee, cola, tea, or alcohol and lose weight if you are obese. Try to avoid smoking and don’t have rich, fatty or spicy foods. Consult your doctor and inform if the symptom does not improve.
Nausea and vomiting:
Take VARIMAX 10MG TABLET with/just after a meal. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich/spicy foods, sugary snacks and drinks. Avoid drinking too much liquid along with your meals, and drink slowly in between meals. Consult your doctor if the condition worsens.
Dry mouth:
Try to drink plenty of cold water and sip on cold unsweetened drinks and use lip balm if your lips are dry. Brush your teeth twice a day and use mouthwash. Consult and inform your doctor if the symptom gets worse.
VARIMAX 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use pregnant women as the medicine is intended to be used only in men.
VARIMAX 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use breastfeeding women as the medicine is intended to be used only in men.
Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel dizzy or the vision is affected after taking VARIMAX 10MG TABLET.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking VARIMAX 10MG TABLET as it may worsens erection dysfunction.
VARIMAX 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients undergoing kidney dialysis. Consult your doctor before taking VARIMAX 10MG TABLET.
