What UTIQUIN TZ is used for?

It is used to treat control, prevent and improvement of the following conditions such as:

  • urinary tract, reproductive organ, prostate, stomach, eye and ear, bacterial, parasitic, blood, lung, chest and skin infections
  • sexually transmitted disease

  • If you are pregnant, or breastfeeding think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • This medicine is not recommended for children and adolescents

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • warfarin (drugs used to treat blood clot)
  • antacids (used for indigestion or heartburn)
  • theophylline (used for breathing problems)
  • ciclosporin
  • probenecid (used for gout)
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Swallow the medicine whole with a full glass of water

If you take more UTIQUIN TZ

  • If you take more of this medicine than you should, talk to your doctor straight away

If you forget to take UTIQUIN TZ

  • If you forget to take a medicine skip the missed dose. Take the next dose as usual
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop taking UTIQUIN TZ

  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
