TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE contains Oxaceprol which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-inflammatory agents. It is used to treat pain associated with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in adult patients.
Osteoarthritis is most common form of arthritis affecting weight bearing joints like hand, knees, hip and spine causing joint pain, stiffness, decreased range of motion, tenderness and swelling.
Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune and chronic progressive inflammatory disease affecting hands, wrist, knees and feet characterised by joint pain, stiffness, tenderness in joints, weight loss, fever, fatigue and weakness.
TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients with liver or kidney impairment. Contact your doctor before taking it.
TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless it is considered necessary. It is also not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Contact your doctor before taking it.
TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in infants less than 2months of age. The most common side effects of taking TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE are headache, skin rash, itchy skin. Contact your physician if any of the symptoms worsen.
TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE helps to relieve pain and swelling of the joints by preventing the entry of white blood cells into the joints and inhibits inflammation.
Take TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicines with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. It should be taken before meals. Your physician will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Headache:
Rest and relax. Drink plenty of fluids such as water or ORS (Oral Rehydrating Solution) and apply a pain-relieving balm on the head if necessary. Contact your doctor if the headache did not improve.
Dizziness:
Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operate any machines while you are feeling dizzy. Do not drink alcohol, as it can aggravate your dizziness. Contact your doctor if your dizziness did not improve.
Itchy skin:
Avoid hot bath because hot water can irritate your skin further. Do not scratch the affected area. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing while going outside. Use unscented moisturizers to soothe and hydrate the affected area. Contact your doctor if the itching worsens.
Nausea:
Take the medicine, with or just after a meal. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy food. Contact your doctor if nausea did not improve.
Stomach pain:
Try to rest and relax. Eat small meals but take frequently. Keep a heat pad on your stomach. Contact your doctor if the stomach pain worsens.
Diarrhoea:
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juices to keep yourself hydrated. Do not take any medicine on your own for treating diarrhoea. Contact your doctor if your diarrhoea did not improve.
TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women unless it is considered necessary. Contact your doctor before taking it.
TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in breastfeeding as it not known whether this medicine passes into breast milk. Contact your doctor before taking it.
TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE has no effect on the ability to drive or operate machines.
TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients with kidney impairment as safety and efficacy has not been established. Contact your doctor before taking it.
TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients with liver impairment as safety and efficacy has not been established. Contact your doctor before taking it.
Do not take TRUECEPROL 200MG CAPSULE if you are allergic to oxaceprol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Use in paediatrics:
