TROPAN 2.5MG contains Oxybutynin which belongs to two groups of medicines called anticholinergics and antispasmodics. It works by relaxing the muscles of bladder and stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). This helps control the release of water (urine). It is used to treat frequent and severe urinary urgency or loss of control in passing urine (urge incontinence).
Always take this medicine as directed by physician. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of therapy depending upon your age, weight and condition. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. It is not recommended for the use in children and adolescents below 5 years of age, consult your doctor before giving this medicine. Do not take TROPAN 2.5MG if you have increased pressure in the eye (glaucoma). It is not recommended for the use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Tell your doctor if you are taking or taken or might take any other medicines. The most common side effects include headache, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dry skin, dry eyes and dry mouth.

Dry skin:
Avoid bath in hot water because hot water can irritate the skin. Moisturizers can be used regular basis to soothe and hydrate the affected area.
Nausea and vomiting:
Keep try taking this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food.
Diarrhea:
Drink lot of fluid, such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Do not take any other medicine without consulting your doctor.
TROPAN 2.5MG is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

Do not drive or operate any machinery while taking this medicine, it may make you feel drowsy and blurred vision.
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with TROPAN 2.5MG.
TROPAN 2.5MG should be taken with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor for advice.
