Talk to your Doctor, if you:

  • are allergic to aztreonam or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have diarrhoea or usually get diarrhoea when you take antibiotics
  • have ever suffered from problems with your stomach or intestines
  • have any liver or kidney problems
  • have any blood disorders, e.g. severe reduction in blood cells which can cause weakness, bruising or make infections more likely (pancytopenia)
  • have skin disorders, including serious illness with blistering of the skin (toxic epidermal necrolysis)
  • have fits (convulsions or seizures)
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before giving this medicine
  • Your doctor will give you the right dose based on your child’s age and body weight 
  • TREZAM 250MG could affect your ability to drive and use machinery, since you may experiance encephalopathy (unexplained confusion, altered mental function, seizure or weakness)
  • Do not drive or use machines if you experiance the above mentioned symptoms

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • anticoagulants (used to prevent blood clots)
  • TREZAM 250MG is administered to you by a doctor or nurse 

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Very Rare
  • allergic reactions: swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat with difficulty in swallowing or breathing
  • severe, persistent or bloody diarrhoea (stomach pain or fever)
  • serious bowel inflammation
  • increased levels of creatinine in your blood
  • dizziness, weakness, high temperature
  • ringing in the ears, double vision
  • bleeding of the stomach
  • painful or swollen colon
  • chest pain, fits, convulsion
  • yellowing of the skin
  • thrush or other vaginal irritation
  • headache, wheezing, breast tenderness
  • sneezing, tingling/numbness
  • difficulty sleeping
  • change in heartbeat
  • fall in blood pressure
  • confusion
  • lengthening of the time it takes for a cut to stop bleeding
  • muscle pain
  • painful or swollen liver
  • increase or decrease in the number of platelets or white blood cells
  • fall in the number of red blood cells
  • a false positive test for antibodies (coombs test)
