What is TOLFEN NF Tablet used for?

TOLFEN NF Tablet capsule/injection/liniment/tablet is used for the treatment of pain and inflammation.

TOLFEN NF Tablet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

How does TOLFEN NF Tablet work?

In TOLFEN NF Tablet, Diclofenac belongs to the class of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The drug acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins by blocking the action of certain enzymes and reduces pain.

Paracetamol belongs to the class of drugs called analgesics and anti-pyretic. The drug acts by improving the pain threshold and blocking the action of certain enzymes at heat-regulating centres, thereby reducing pain and elevated body temperature.

How to use TOLFEN NF Tablet?

The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Use TOLFEN NF Tablet capsule/injection/liniment/tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

  • Swallow the tablet/capsule Do not crush or chew the tablet/capsule. Take the drug with or without food. However, taking the drug with food prevents stomach upset.
  • TOLFEN NF Tablet injection should be administered only under medical supervision.
  • Wash and dry the affected area. Apply a thin layer of TOLFEN NF Tablet liniment to the affected area and rub gently.
