Introduction:
Tiam capsule is a dietary supplement which is used to treat thiamine (vitamin B1) deficiency and its associated disorders. Vitamin B1 is needed to maintain the health of the nerves and the heart. Deficiency of vitamin B1 may cause heart failure and mental/nerve problems. Thiamine produce thiamine diphosphate by combining with adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and leukocytes which acts as a coenzyme in carbohydrate metabolism, in transketolation reactions, and in the utilization of hexose in the hexose-monophosphate shunt.
The most common side effects of thiamine are nausea, diarrhea or stomach pain. This medicine is not intended for use in children under 12 years of age.
