INTRODUCTION

TAMDOSIN 0.4MG TABLET contains Tamsulosin which belongs to the group of medicines called Alpha blockers. It is used in men to treat the signs and symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH).

BPH (also known enlarged prostate) is an abnormal growth or enlargement of prostate gland in aging men. It is caused primarily due to increased production of a stress hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Symptoms includes difficulty in passing urine, urinary incontinence (unintentional passing of urine), frequent urination at night, sexual dysfunction or painful ejaculation.

During treatment with TAMDOSIN 0.4MG TABLET, your doctor will constantly monitor your blood pressure and PSA levels (prostate specific antigen) to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects.

Before taking TAMDOSIN 0.4MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have cataract or glaucoma surgery in the upcoming days.

TAMDOSIN 0.4MG TABLET may make you feel dizzy while standing up or changing position. Therefore, do not drive or operate any heavy tools or machines that requires complete alertness. Avoid consumption of alcoholic beverages as it may make you dizzier. If you experience dizziness, sit and rest until it passes away completely.
