Suppol child suppositories contains Paracetamol which belongs to a group of medicines called pain-killers (analgesics) used for symptomatic relief of pain and fever. It is also used to treat neonatal hyperthermia, high grade fever, neonatal sepsis, pain management in post-operative cases in NICU & PICU, gastroenteritis where babies have vomiting, febrile convulsion and following immunization vaccines.
The recommended usual daily dose depends on the weight of the child. It is determined at 60mg/kg/day, to be spaced out in 4 different intakes per day: Suppol Child (170mg) - From 12-16kg (about 2 to 4 years old). If needed suppository can be moistened with water for easy insertion.
