SULGIRIDE 25MG contain Levosulpiride which belongs to a group of medicine called gastrointestinal prokinetics that increase intestinal peristalsis. It is used for short-term treatment of dyspeptic syndrome such as anorexia, bloating, stomach upset, postprandial headache, heartburn, belching, diarrhoea and constipation. It is also used in symptomatic short-term treatment of nausea and vomiting (caused by anticancer drugs) and vertigo, tinnitus, hearing loss and nausea associated with Meniere's Syndrome.
SULGIRIDE 25MG works by increasing the movement of stomach and intestines and prevents reflux (acid going up to the food pipe) and quicken gastric and gall bladder emptying. This medicine causes some rare side effects such as QT prolongation, ventricular arrhythmias, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, and cardiac arrest.
Always take SULGIRIDE 25MG exactly as your doctor has told you. It must be taken before food and try to take at the same time each day. It is strictly not recommended for use in children under 14 years of age. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.
