STATOR ASP 75MG is a combination of Aspirin and Atorvastatin which belongs to a group of medicines called Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and Statins respectively. STATOR ASP 75MG is used to treat high levels of lipids (dyslipidemia) associated with atherosclerotic arterial disease with risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, or peripheral vascular disease. STATOR ASP 75MG lowers the bad cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises the good cholesterol (HDL) levels in the body and also it decreases the formation of blood clots.
Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug prevents the platelets from clumping and clotting in arteries and improves blood flow to heart. Atorvastatin belongs to statins lowers cholesterol levels in the blood by blocking an enzyme that's needed for the liver to produce cholesterol.
Before taking STATOR ASP 75MG inform your doctor if you have bleeding disorder, liver, kidney, or heart conditions. Inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor about all previous medications you take before taking STATOR ASP 75MG. It is not suitable for use in children and adolescents under 16 years of age, unless specifically indicated by your doctor. The common side effects of STATOR ASP 75MG are constipation, headache, dizziness, abdominal pain, or nausea.
STATOR ASP 75MG helps to prevent heart attack and stroke, where atorvastatin works by slowing the production of cholesterol in the body to decrease the amount of cholesterol that may build up on the walls of the arteries and block blood flow to the heart, brain, and other parts of the body. Aspirin prevents the platelets from sticking together and decreases the formation of harmful blood clots.
Always take STATOR ASP 75MG as directed by your physician. Take this medicine with or without food, swallow the medicine as a whole and do not crush or chew the medicine. Do not stop taking STATOR ASP 75MG unless advised by your doctor.
Stop taking STATOR ASP 75MG and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Headache:
Rest and drink plenty of fluids. Apply a wet or cold cloth to forehead and rest in a quiet, comfortable, dark room.
Nausea:
Take this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat oil rich or spicy food.
Stomach pain:
Try to take rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have smaller and frequent meals. Keep a heat pad on your stomach.
Constipation:
Take fiber rich foods in your diet such as fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grain cereals, and drink plenty of fluids. Exercise more regularly and stay active.
Diarrhea:
Drink plenty of fluids such as water, fruit juices or electrolytes to avoid dehydration in your body.
STATOR ASP 75MG is not advisable during pregnancy as it may cause serious harm to your baby. Consult your doctor for advice.
It is not recommended for mothers who are breast-feeding as there is limited information on the use of STATOR ASP 75MG during breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before taking.
Do not drive or handle any machines if you experience dizziness, decreased alertness, vision problems or sleepiness while taking STATOR ASP 75MG.
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended while taking this STATOR ASP 75MG as it can increase the risk of bleeding and prolongs the bleeding time.
STATOR ASP 75MG is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor for advice.
STATOR ASP 75MG is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease. Consult your doctor for advice.
Tell your doctor if you are allergic to Aspirin or Atorvastatin or any other inactive preparations of STATOR ASP 75MG.
STATOR ASP 75MG should be used with caution in patients with asthma or long-term respiratory diseases as it can induce asthma attacks or promotes bronchospasm (tightening of muscles in airways resulting in shortness of breath).
STATOR ASP 75MG should be used with caution in patients with any heart disease or problems. Consult your doctor for advice.

Yes, STATOR ASP 75MG may cause muscle pain, weakness, and tenderness in some individuals, it should be used with caution in elderly patients. STATOR ASP 75MG should be used with caution in patients with high blood pressure as it can increase the risk of high blood pressure or alter the effectiveness of anti-hypertensive medicine (such as lisinopril, ramipril, chlorthalidone) leading to poor therapeutic outcome in managing high blood pressure.
