What is SPASLIN TABLET used for?
SPASLIN TABLET is used to provide relief from spasmodic pain and discomfort due to biliary colic (abdominal pain), intestinal colic (intestinal pain), renal colic (sharp pain due to kidney dysfunction), and spasmodic dysmenorrhea (sharp pelvic pain at the start of menstrual flow) in affected individuals. It is also used to provide relief from the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and functional bowel disease in affected individuals.
How to take SPASLIN TABLET?
Take SPASLIN TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
What are the side effects of SPASLIN TABLET?
The most common side effects of taking SPASLIN TABLET are hypersensitivity reaction (immune mediated reaction), dry mouth, stomach upset, bloating, flatulence, vomiting, and/or constipation. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.
How SPASLIN TABLET works?
SPASLIN TABLET provides relief from spasmodic pain and discomfort, where Dicyclomine relieves abdominal cramps, pain, bloating and discomfort by relaxing the muscles in the stomach & gut and preventing the occurrence of sudden muscle contractions and Paracetamol provides relief from pain by blocking the action of prostaglandin (chemical messengers responsible for pain) thus providing reducing spasmodic pain and discomfort in affected individuals.
Can SPASLIN TABLET be used in pregnant and breastfeeding women?
Yes, SPASLIN TABLET can be used but with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women only if it is clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
