What is SOLIAN 50mg Tablet used for?

SOLIAN 50mg Tablet, is used for the long-term treatment of acute and chronic symptoms of mental disorder known as schizophrenia.

Symptoms include

  • delusions (having strange or unusual thoughts);
  • hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not there);
  • being suspicious or aggressive for no apparent reason (these are called "positive symptoms");
  • becoming withdrawn and subdued (these are called "negative symptoms").

SOLIAN 50mg Tablet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

How does SOLIAN 50mg Tablet work?

SOLIAN 50mg Tablet is an antimigraine agent which belongs to a class of medicines known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors agonist. SOLIAN 50mg Tablet reduces the inflammatory response by binding to serotonin receptors in the brain blood vessel, which causes narrowing of the blood vessels.

How to take SOLIAN 50mg Tablet?

  • The dosage of oral tablet of SOLIAN 50mg Tablet depends on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take SOLIAN 50mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.
  • SOLIAN 50mg Tablet should be taken with or without food. Do not chew the tablet.
  • Swallow the tablet with a glass of water.
  • SOLIAN 50mg Tablet is not advised to be taken by children less than 18 years of age.
  • Do not discontinue SOLIAN 50mg Tablet without consulting a doctor.
  • If you miss a dose of SOLIAN 50mg Tablet, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
  • You must avoid breastfeeding for 24 hours after taking SOLIAN 50mg Tablet.

If you have taken an overdose of SOLIAN 50mg Tablet, please contact your doctor immediately.

Symptoms of overdose may include the following

  • Restlessness
  • Rigidity of muscles
  • Low blood pressure (hypotension)
  • Drowsiness
  • Sleepiness (somnolence)

  • withdrawal symptoms after stopping SOLIAN 50mg Tablet (nausea, difficulty sleeping, restlessness, muscle stiffness, abnormal movements, original illness may come back).
