Sincal Tablet is a nutritional supplement used to prevent and treat calcium deficiency. It contains calcium and vitamin D3 as active ingredients that helps meet up the calcium requirements of the body when the dietary intake is not sufficient.
Calcium is essential for many normal functions of body mainly, bone formation and maintenance. Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) helps the body to increase the intestinal absorption of calcium.
Always take Sincal Tablet exactly as advised by your doctor. It is not recommended for use in patients having increased levels of calcium or vitamin D3 in blood.
Sincal Tablet should be used with caution in patients having sarcoidosis (growth of tiny groups of inflammatory cells in any part of your body) or kidney problems. It should be used in breastfeeding women while considering giving additional vitamin D3 to the child.
Sincal Tablet may cause constipation, indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhoea, gas, nausea, itching, rash or hives in some individuals. Consult your doctor if you notice any such side effects while taking it.
Q: Can Sincal Tablet cause constipation?
A: Sincal Tablet may cause constipation. Eat fibre-rich food and consume plenty of fluids if you experience constipation. Consult your doctor if constipation persists.
Q: Can Sincal Tablet reverse osteoporosis?
A: There is ample evidence that calcium and vitamin D alone have the potential to prevent bone loss and reduce fracture, which usually happens in osteoporosis, and that’s why Sincal Tablet is used as an adjunct to specific osteoporosis treatment. Consult your doctor for further queries.
Q: What happens if I forget to take a dose of Sincal Tablet?
A: Take Sincal Tablet as soon as you can but skip the forgotten dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take two doses at once.
Q: Can Sincal Tablet help in weight loss?
A: Certain studies imply that getting adequate amounts of vitamin D may enhance weight loss, decrease body fat and limit weight gain, although more research is needed before strong conclusions can be reached. Consult your doctor for advice.
Q: Can Sincal Tablet cause diarrhea?
A: Sincal Tablet may increase the risk of severe diarrhea. Drink lots of fluids such as water or fruit juices so that you are sufficiently hydrated. Consult your doctor if diarrhea persists.
