It is used in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) for men with an enlarged prostate to:

  • improve symptoms
  • reduce the risk of acute urinary retention (a complete blockage of urine flow)

  • Swallow the medicine whole preferably with a glass of water
  • You can take SILOTRIF D 4/0.5mg with or without food

If you take more SILOTRIF D 4/0.5mg

  • If you have taken more, SILOTRIF D 4/0.5mg inform your doctor as soon as possible
  • If you become dizzy or feel weak, tell your doctor straight away

If you forget to take SILOTRIF D 4/0.5mg

  • You may take your medicine later the same day if you have forgotten to take it earlier. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the dose you missed
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
