What SERETIDE 125 EVOHALER is used for?

It is used to,

  • decrease inflammation in the lungs which can lead to breathing problems
  • prevent symptoms such as wheezing, cough, chest tightness, and shortness of breath

Talk your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic to fluticasone propionate, salmeterol or any of the ingredients in this medicine
  • to relieve sudden breathing problems
  • have heart or thyroid or liver problems
  • have high blood pressure
  • have seizures or diabetes
  • have weak bones (osteoporosis)
  • have an immune system problem
  • have or have had eye problems, such as increased pressure in your eye (glaucoma) or cataracts
  • have any type of viral, bacterial, or fungal infection
  • are exposed to chickenpox or measles
  • It is not known if SERETIDE 125 EVOHALER may harm your unborn baby
  • It is not known if SERETIDE 125 EVOHALER pass into your milk and if they can harm your baby
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or plan to become pregnant ask advice to your doctor before taking this medicine
  • The safety and effectiveness of SERETIDE 125 EVOHALER in children younger than 12 years have not been established
  • Consult your doctor for advice

Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take such as:

  • antifungal or anti-HIV medicines 
  • Use SERETIDE 125 EVOHALER exactly as your healthcare provider tells you to use it
  • Do not use SERETIDE 125 EVOHALER more often than prescribed

If you take too much SERETIDE 125 EVOHALER

  • If you take too much SERETIDE 125 EVOHALER call your healthcare provider or go to the nearest hospital emergency room right away if you have any unusual symptoms, such as worsening shortness of breath, chest pain, increased heart rate, or shakiness

If you miss a dose of SERETIDE 125 EVOHALER

  • If you miss a dose of SERETIDE 125 EVOHALER just skip that dose. Take your next dose at your usual time. Do not take two doses at one time

If you stop taking SERETIDE 125 EVOHALER

  • Do not stop using SERETIDE 125 EVOHALER even if you are feeling better, unless your healthcare provider tells you to

  • fungal infection in your mouth or throat (thrush)
  • increase in mucus (sputum) production
  • change in mucus color
  • increased cough, chills, fever, rash, hives
  • increased breathing problems
  • sudden breathing problems immediately after inhaling your medicine.
  • swelling of your face, mouth, and tongue
  • increased blood pressure, chest pain
  • a fast or irregular heartbeat
  • effects on nervous system
  • tremor, nervousness
  • bone thinning or weakness (osteoporosis)
  • slowed growth in children
  • eye problems including glaucoma and cataracts
  • changes in laboratory blood levels (sugar, potassium, certain types of white blood cells)
  • upper respiratory tract infection
  • headache, dizziness, nausea and vomiting
  • throat irritation
  • hoarseness and voice changes
