SERCOS VT TABLET contains Sertaconazole, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungal medicines. It is used in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis. Vaginal candidiasis is a condition with fungal infections of the vagina. The symptoms of fungal infection of the vagina include redness and itching sensation of the vagina, soreness, whitish vaginal discharge, difficulty urinating, experience pain during sexual intercourse etc.
Before taking this SERCOS VT TABLET inform your doctor if you have or had an allergic reaction to antifungal treatment or sertaconazole. SERCOS VT TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. The risks and benefits of SERCOS VT TABLET for use in children are not known. Consult your doctor before taking SERCOS VT TABLET.
The most common side effects of SERCOS VT TABLET include contact dermatitis, dryness and burning sensation of the skin, tenderness of the skin, redness, itching, hyperpigmentation etc. Consult your doctor immediately or visit a nearby hospital, if any of the symptoms worsen.
SERCOS VT TABLET works by preventing fungi from developing their own necessary protective coating, which is necessary for their survival. As a result, it treats the fungal infection.
Always take SERCOS VT TABLET as directed by your physician. You should wash and dry your vagina before use. Carefully insert the tablet inside the vagina as high as you can. Your doctor will decide the correct dose, duration and frequency for you depending on your age, body weight and other comorbid conditions etc.
Stop taking SERCOS VT TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Skin rash or contact dermatitis:
Avoid taking hot showers as they can irritate your skin even more. Do not scratch the affected area. Moisturize your skin regularly. If the symptoms worsen, consult your doctor immediately.
SERCOS VT TABLET should be used with caution by pregnant women only if recommended by your doctor. Inform your doctor immediately if you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant while using SERCOS VT TABLET.
SERCOS VT TABLET should be used with caution by breastfeeding mothers. Consult your doctor before using SERCOS VT TABLET.
Do not take SERCOS VT TABLET if you are allergic to Sertaconazole.

Overdosage:

What happens when you forget to use SERCOS VT TABLET?
If you forget to use SERCOS VT TABLET when it's time, use it as soon as you remember. If it's time for the next dose, though, skip the missed dose. To make up for a missing dose, do not use a double dose.
Is SERCOS VT TABLET safe for use in patients with liver disease?
SERCOS VT TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver disease or liver failure. Consult your doctor before taking SERCOS VT TABLET.
