SALBETOL contains Salbutamol which belongs to a group of medicines known as selective beta-2-adrenergicagonists, which can be used to relax the muscles of the airways and womb. It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways into the lungs, which makes it easier to breathe. It is used to treat wheezing and shortness of breath caused by breathing problems (such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has directed you. Swallow the medicine with water. This medicine is not recommended for children under 2 years of age. Do not take if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to salbutamol or any other ingredients in this medicine. Do not drive or handle any machines while taking this medicine. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if have high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid gland, diabetes, or low levels of potassium in your blood to make sure it is safe.

Feeling sick (nausea) or indigestion:
Stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy foods.
Drowsiness or dizziness:
Get up and move around to feel awake, take small naps to edge off the sleepiness. Give your eyes a break to avoid fatigue and eat a healthy food to boost energy.
Muscle cramps:
Stretch the muscle and gently rub it to relax. Use a warm cloth or heating pad on tense or tight muscles.
SALBETOL should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

SALBETOL may cause dizziness. Do not drive or handle any machines while taking this medicine.
Do not take if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to salbutamol or any other ingredients in this medicine.
SALBETOL should be used with caution in patients suffering from active heart diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.

Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. It relieves the symptoms of asthma like coughing, shortness of breath and tightness in the chest.
What would happen if I take higher than the recommended dose of SALBETOL?
When you take a high dose than the recommended dose may cause seizures, chest pain, nervousness, headache, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness and lack of energy. In such cases, seek immediate medical attention.
