What ROSAVE F 5MG is used for?
It is used to
- lower the level of bad (lipids) in the blood

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
- are allergic to fenofibrate, rosuvastatin or any of the other ingredients
- have developed a sensitivity to sunlight or artificial light
- have gallbladder or liver disease
- have thyroid problem
- have kidney or pancreas problem
- regularly drink large amounts of alcohol
- have decreased levels of a certain protein(albumin) in the blood
- have poorly controlled diabetes mellitus (type II)
- ROSAVE F 5MG should not be used if you are pregnant or breast-feeding
- ROSAVE F 5MG is not recommended for children and adolescents below 18 years of age
- If you feel dizzy while taking this medicine, consult your doctor before you drive or use machines
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
- warfarin (used to prevent blood clotting)
- atorvastatin (used to lower cholesterol)
- ciclosporin (used to suppress the immune system)
- phenylbutazone (a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug)
- other fibrates e.g. bezafibrate (used to lower cholesterol and other fats (lipids) in the blood)
- indigestion remedies (used to neutralize acid in your stomach)
- erythromycin (an antibiotic)
- fusidic acid
- an oral contraceptive (the pill)
- hormone replacement therapy
- ritonavir, lopinavir
- Always take this medicine as your doctor has told you
If you take more ROSAVE F 5MG
- If you have taken more ROSAVE F 5MG, contact your doctor or go to nearest hospital immediately
If you forget to take ROSAVE F 5MG
- If you forget to take ROSAVE F 5MG, take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
- Do not take two doses at the same time
If you stop taking ROSAVE F 5MG
- Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to stop your treatment
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
- muscle pain, breakdown, inflammation, cramps or weakness
- allergic reactionmarked by swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, itchy skin rash narrowing of the airways causing difficulty in breathing or swallowing
- hepatitis marked by yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (jaundice), itching
- headache, tiredness, spinning sensation
- stomach or intestine disorders such as feeling or being sick, stomach pains, diarrhoea and wind
- skin rash with pale or red irregular raised patches with severe itching, sensitivity to sunlight or artificial light
- reddening of the skin, blisters or lumps
- increase in the amount of protein in the urine
- increased levels of a certain enzyme within the body (seen in a test)
- muscle pain, inflammation, cramps and weakness
- blood clotting
- inflammation of the pancreas causing stomach and back pain
- disorder of the nerves causing weakness, tingling and numbness
- hair loss
- increase in blood levels of creatinine and urea
- loss of sex drive
- decreased levels of haemoglobin and white blood cells
- bleeding or bruising more easily
- lung disease (interstitial pneumopathies)
- inflammation of the liver (hepatitis) causing yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (jaundice) or tiredness
- development of gallstones
- abnormal muscle breakdown which can lead to kidney problems (rhabdomyolysis)
- numbness of your legs and arms, joint pain, memory loss
- breast enlargement in men (gynaecomastia)
- Keep this medicine out of reach of children
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
- Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
