What REGGI 10MG is used for?

It is used to prevent nausea and vomiting:

  • that may occur after chemotherapy
  • caused by radiotherapy
  • which may occur with a migraine

Talk to your Doctor, if you:

  • are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have bleeding, obstruction or a tear in your stomach or gut
  • have or may have a rare tumor of the adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma)
  • have ever had involuntary muscle spasms (tardive dyskinesia)
  • have epilepsy
  • have parkinson’s disease
  • have ever had an abnormal blood pigment levels (methemoglobinemia) or cytochrome-b5 deficiency
  • have a history of abnormal heart beats, or any other heart problems
  • have problems with the levels of salts in your blood (potassium, sodium and magnesium)
  • have any neurological (brain) problems
  • have liver or kidney problems
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • It must not be used in children below 1 year of age
  • Do not drive or operate any machines while taking this medicine as it may cause drowsiness, dizziness or have uncontrollable twitching, jerking or writhing movements and unusual muscle tone causing distortion of the body

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • levodopa (used to treat Parkinson’s disease)
  • anticholinergics (used to relieve stomach cramps or spasms)
  • morphine derivatives (used to treat severe pain)
  • sedative medicines
  • medicines used to treat mental health problems
  • digoxin (used to treat heart failure)
  • cyclosporine (used to treat certain problems with the immune system)
  • mivacurium and suxamethonium (used to relax muscles)
  • fluoxetine and paroxetine (used to treat depression)
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you

If you take more REGGI 10MG

  • If you have taken more medicine than prescribed dose, contact your doctor or go to nearest hospital straight away
  • Symptoms of overdose: uncontrollable movements (extrapyramidal disorders), feel drowsy, troubles of consciousness, be confused, have hallucination and heart problems

If you forget to take REGGI 10MG

  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
  • Consult your doctor for advice

If you stop taking REGGI 10MG

  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Very Rare
  • uncontrollable movements (often involving head or neck) such as tics, shaking, twisting movements or muscle contracture (stiffness, rigidity)
  • high fever, high blood pressure, convulsions, sweating, production of saliva neuroleptic (malignant syndrome)
  • itching or skin rashes, swelling of the face, lips or throat, difficulty in breathing
  • convulsions (fits)
  • feeling drowsy
  • depression
  • symptoms like parkinson disease (rigidity, tremor)
  • feel restless
  • diarrhoea
  • raised levels of prolactin in the blood
  • irregular periods
  • involuntary upward deviation of eyeball
  • hallucination
  • decreased level of consciousness
  • confusional state
