REDUSTAT EZ 10MG TABLET is a combination of Atorvastatin and Ezetimibe which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-hyperlipidemic agents. It is used for the treatment of patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (high amounts of cholesterol in the blood). It is used along with a proper diet to lower bad cholesterol and fats (LDL, triglycerides) and raise good cholesterol (HDL) in the blood.
High cholesterol is when you have too much of a fatty substance called cholesterol in your blood. Cholesterol is a type of fat (or lipid) in the blood. Having high levels of fats in the blood can lead to serious health problems such as heart disease.
Regular monitoring of blood sugar levels, and liver function is recommended while taking this REDUSTAT EZ 10MG TABLET.
Before taking REDUSTAT EZ 10MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems or heart problems or high blood pressure.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.
The most common side effects of taking REDUSTAT EZ 10MG TABLET are joint pain, diarrhoea, tendon problems, memory loss, confusion, depression, muscle and body pain. Contact your doctor if any of the above symptoms worsen.
REDUSTAT EZ 10MG TABLET is a combination of Atorvastatin and Ezetimibe where Atorvastatin works by preventing your body from making bad cholesterol (LDL) while raising good cholesterol (HDL) levels. Ezetimibe works by preventing absorption of cholesterol from the intestines. Together, they provide better reduction of cholesterol in your body.
Take REDUSTAT EZ 10MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking REDUSTAT EZ 10MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Diarrhoea:
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juices to keep yourself hydrated. Avoid taking any medicine on your own for treating diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if the symptom did not improve.
