RACIPER 20MG contain esomeprazole which belongs to a group of medicine called proton pump inhibitors. It is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach ulcers or intestinal ulcers caused by helicobacter pylori infection in both adults and adolescents and stomach ulcers and intestinal ulcers caused by NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and Prolonged treatment after prevention of rebleeding of ulcers with intravenous esomeprazole in adults.
Gastroesophageal reflux disease is a condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach (oesophagus) which can irritate the lining of your esophagus. In Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, tumor in your pancreas or the upper part of your small intestine (duodenum) called gastrinomas, secrete large amounts of the hormone gastrin, which cause your stomach to produce too much acid.
Always take RACIPER 20MG exactly as your doctor has told you. This medicine must be taken with food or on an empty stomach. It is strictly not recommended for use in children under the age of 12 years. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.
RACIPER 20MG works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.
Always take RACIPER 20MG exactly as your doctor has told you. This medicine must be taken with food or on an empty stomach. Try to take this medicine at the same time each day. It should be swallowed whole with water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
Headache:
Apply hot or cold-water bag on your head. Take rest in a quiet and dark room. Drink tea or coffee.
Diarrhoea:
Drink lot of fluid such as water or juice, to avoid dehydration. Do not take any medicines without speaking to a doctor.
Stomach pain:
Try to rest and relax. eat and drink slowly and smaller and frequent meals. Applying a heat pad or covered hot water bottle on your stomach may also help. If still pain persists, speak to your doctor.
Constipation:
Take fibre rich foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables and cereals, and drink plenty of water. Exercise more regularly.
Nausea and vomiting:
Keep try taking this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food.
RACIPER 20MG should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
RACIPER 20MG is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
Do not drive or operate machinery while taking this medicine, since it may cause dizziness and blurred vision.
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with RACIPER 20MG.
RACIPER 20MG should be used with caution in patients suffering from active kidney diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.

Do not take RACIPER 20MG if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to esomeprazole or any other ingredients in this medicine.
