What is PARAFORTAN Tablet used for?

PARAFORTAN Tablet capsule/injection/liniment/tablet is used for the treatment of pain and inflammation.

PARAFORTAN Tablet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

How does PARAFORTAN Tablet work?

In PARAFORTAN Tablet, Diclofenac belongs to the class of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The drug acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins by blocking the action of certain enzymes and reduces pain.

Paracetamol belongs to the class of drugs called analgesics and anti-pyretic. The drug acts by improving the pain threshold and blocking the action of certain enzymes at heat-regulating centres, thereby reducing pain and elevated body temperature.

How to use PARAFORTAN Tablet?

The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Use PARAFORTAN Tablet capsule/injection/liniment/tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

  • Swallow the tablet/capsule Do not crush or chew the tablet/capsule. Take the drug with or without food. However, taking the drug with food prevents stomach upset.
  • PARAFORTAN Tablet injection should be administered only under medical supervision.
  • Wash and dry the affected area. Apply a thin layer of PARAFORTAN Tablet liniment to the affected area and rub gently.

If you miss a dose of PARAFORTAN Tablet, please use it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not use a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
