PARACIP TABLET is a combination of Caffeine and Paracetamol which belongs to the group of medicines called CNS stimulants and Analgesics and Antipyretics respectively. It is effective in providing pain relief and in reducing fever.
It is used to treat headache, muscle pain, back pain, joint pain, nerve pain, period pain, tooth pain and any other conditions that involve minor aches and pains for a temporary period. It can also be used to manage the symptoms of the common cold, fever and sore throat.
PARACIP TABLET is suitable for use both in adults and in children (aged 12 years or above). Before taking PARACIP TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have asthma, high blood pressure, anxiety, gout or alcoholism as a precaution.
Do not take PARACIP TABLET without consulting your doctor if you have ulcers in the stomach or intestines, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. PARACIP TABLET is generally safe and well tolerated. However, it may cause gastric irritation in some patients when used continuously for a certain period. Consult your doctor if it troubles you.

PARACIP TABLET contains two medicines namely paracetamol and caffeine. Paracetamol is a pain-relieving medicine with fever-reducing properties. It reduces fever and pain sensations by blocking the release of certain chemicals within the body (such as prostaglandins) that causes fever, pain, inflammation and swelling.
Caffeine is a brain stimulant. It reduces pain sensation by interfering with the pain signals travelling between the damaged nerves and the brain. It also improves the pain-relieving actions of paracetamol and reduces tiredness and boredom among the affected patients.
Take PARACIP TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following serious side effects:
Nausea and Vomiting:
Take PARACIP TABLET with or just after a meal or a snack. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating rich or spicy food. Consult your doctor if your nausea worsens.
Gastric Irritation:
Avoid spicy foods. Stick to simple meals. Drink plenty of water or fruit juices to keep yourself hydrated. Consult your doctor if the symptom worsens.
Lack of Sleep:
Try to maintain the same schedule for sleeping and waking, even on weekends. Create a bedtime routine that helps you relax. Limit coffee/tea consumption. Dim the lights and keep away the electronic devices an hour before bedtime. Get some sunlight and physical activity every day. Avoid sleeping during the day.
