PANDERM SUPER CREAM is a combination of Clobetasol, Fusidic acid, and Clotrimazole which belong to a group of medicines called Topical Corticosteroids, Oral antistaphylococcal antibiotic, and Imidazoles respectively. PANDERM SUPER CREAM is used in the topical treatment of a wide variety of bacterial and fungal skin infections with associated inflammation in resistant and/or secondary bacterial infections.
A bacterial infection occurs when a bacteria enters the body, multiplies, and causes a reaction in the body that leads to infection, which is characterised by symptoms such as difficulty breathing, persistent cough and fever, unexplained redness and/or swelling of the skin, and frequent vomiting. A fungal infection is a skin disease caused by a fungus that leads to infection and is associated with symptoms such as irritation, scaly skin, redness, itching, and swelling.
Avoid applying PANDERM SUPER CREAM if you are allergic to Clobetasol, Fusidic acid, or Clotrimazole. Before applying PANDERM SUPER CREAM, inform your doctor if you are a smoker, have concomitant skin infections (parasitic infections), or plan to apply the medicine near the eyes.
PANDERM SUPER CREAM should be used with caution during pregnancy and in breastfeeding women only if it is necessary, which is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 12 years of age). The most common symptoms of applying PANDERM SUPER CREAM are a burning or stinging sensation and itchy skin. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms get worse.
PANDERM SUPER CREAM helps to treat a wide variety of bacterial and fungal skin infections. Clobetasol prevents inflammation by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Fusidic Acid prevents the growth of bacteria and causes its destruction by inhibiting the synthesis of essential proteins that are essential for the bacteria to grow.
Always apply PANDERM SUPER CREAM, as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. On the affected area, apply a thin layer of this medicine. Treated areas on the face need not be covered with a plaster or bandage. Do not apply PANDERM SUPER CREAM on your face beyond 5 days. Avoid applying PANDERM SUPER CREAM around your eyes, including eyelids.
Stop applying PANDERM SUPER CREAM and contact your doctor if you experience any of the following side effects:
