PAMASPAS TABLET is a combination of Dicyclomine, Pamabrom and Paracetamol which belong to the groups of medicines called Anticholinergic, Diuretic and Antipyretic/Analgesic respectively. It is used for the treatment of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) (symptoms such as bloating, water weight gain, swelling and the feeling of being full), dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation), spasmodic pain and colic disease. It is also used to treat the pain and cramps that occur in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medication as it may cause side effects. Avoid overheating by avoiding strenuous work or exercise in hot weather and using hot baths as they cause heatstroke due to less sweat. Before taking PAMASPAS TABLET, inform your doctor if you have diarrhoea, ulcerative colitis, hyperthyroidism, hypertension, kidney problems, liver problems, known or suspected prostatic hypertrophy or heart problems.
PAMASPAS TABLET is not recommended for use by pregnant or breastfeeding women. PAMASPAS TABLET is not recommended for use in infants younger than 6 months of age. The most common side effects of this medicine are dry mouth, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, light-headedness, drowsiness, weakness and nervousness. Contact your physician if any of the above symptoms worsen.
Treats:
PAMASPAS TABLET is a combination of Dicyclomine, Pamabrom and Paracetamol. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic drug that works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) and relieves cramps, pain, bloating and discomfort. Pamabrom is a diuretic that increases the production of urine to remove excess water from the body and relieve premenstrual symptoms like bloating, water-weight gain, swelling and the feeling of being full. Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer) and analgesic (pain killer) that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Take PAMASPAS TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with enough water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. The correct dose and duration will be decided by your physician for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking PAMASPAS TABLET and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Nausea or vomiting:
Take this medicine with or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy foods.
Dizziness:
Lie down until the dizziness goes away and then move slowly and carefully. Take more amount of rest and drink more fluids. Consult your physician if your symptom worsens.
Dry Mouth:
Drink water more frequently, do regular mouth rinses and use sugarless candy.
Diarrhea:
Drink lots of fluids, like water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine on your own without consulting your physician.
PAMASPAS TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Contact your doctor before taking PAMASPAS TABLET.
PAMASPAS TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may pass through the breast milk. Contact your doctor before taking PAMASPAS TABLET.
Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel sleepiness, dizziness or blurred vision after taking PAMASPAS TABLET.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking PAMASPAS TABLET as it may lead to unwanted effects.
PAMASPAS TABLET should be used with caution in patients with known kidney disease. Contact your doctor before taking PAMASPAS TABLET.
PAMASPAS TABLET should be used with caution in patients with known liver disease. Contact your doctor before taking PAMASPAS TABLET.
Do not take PAMASPAS TABLET if you are allergic to Dicyclomine, Pamabrom, Paracetamol or other ingredients of this medicine.
PAMASPAS TABLET should be used with caution in patients with heart diseases like coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure and cardiac tachyarrhythmia. Contact your doctor before taking PAMASPAS TABLET.
