What PACIMOL M 5/500MG is used for?

  • It is used to treat the signs of migraine such as headache, nausea or vomiting

Talk to your Doctor if you:

  • are allergic to any other ingredients of this medicine
  • have blockage or bleeding in your stomach or intestine (gut)
  • have tumor of the adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma)
  • have ever had involuntary muscle spasms (tardive dyskinesia)
  • have epilepsy
  • have Parkinson’s disease
  • had an operation on your stomach or intestine (gut)
  • have liver or kidney problems
  • are an alcoholic
  • This medicine is not recommended during breastfeeding
  • If you are pregnant, or breastfeeding think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  •  This medicine is not recommended to children and adolescents below 18 years of age
  •  Do not drive or operate any machines while taking this medicines since it may cause drowsiness and sleepiness

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • levodopa (used to treat Parkinson’s disease)
  • medicines used for cold and cough
  • oral contraceptive pill
  • colestyramine (for lowering blood cholesterol levels)
  • mebeverine or hyoscine (used to treat muscle spasms and for irritable bowel syndrome)
  • oxybutynin, propiverine or tolterodine (used to treat an overactive bladder)
  • codeine, dihydrocodeine or dextropropoxyphene (painkillers)
  • domperidone used for nausea or vomiting
  • mirtazapine or trazodone (used for depression)
  • chloramphenicol (an antibiotic used for infections)
  • warfarin (used to treat blood clot)
  • ciclosporin (used to help prevent rejection of transplant)
  • clonidine (used for high blood pressure, migraine)
  • chlorphenamine or promethazine
  • digoxin (used for heart problems)
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Swallow the medicine with a glass of water
  • Do not crush or chew the medicine

If you take more  PACIMOL M 5/500MG

  • If you take more of this medicine, talk to your doctor or go to your nearest hospital immediately
  • Symptoms of overdose: liver damage

If you forget to take PACIMOL M 5/500MG

  • If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it, however if it is nearly time for the next dose skip the missed dose
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you Stop taking PACIMOL M 5/500MG

  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells to do so

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Very Rare
  • difficulty breathing, tightness in the throat, rapidly spreading rashes, dizziness, very fast heartbeat or even loss of consciousness
  • headache, confusion, fatigue
  • neuroleptic malignant syndrome
  • seizures
  • muscle spasms
  • hallucination
  • thrombocytopenia
  • number of white blood cells (agranulocytosis)
  • diarrhoea
  • low blood pressure
  • abnormal production of breast milk in men and women
  • breast enlargement in men
  • loss of menstrual periods
  • nervous (anxious), restlessness
  • lack or loss of strength (weakness)
  • skin rash
  • methaemoglobinaemia

  • Keep this medicine out of reach of the children
  • Store at a room temperature of 15-25ºC
