What is OXALGIN NANO?

Introduction:

Oxalgin nano gel is used to relieve musculoskeletal pain in day to day life like neck, shoulder, back pain and joint pain. It contains diclofenac, methyl salicylate and menthol as key ingredients. Diclofenac belongs to the class of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which leads to inhibition of cyclooxygenase activity, prostaglandin synthesis and other inflammation mediators. Oxalgin nano gel is used to treat mild to moderate muscle pains, contusions, post-traumatic pain, minor aches and pains of the muscles/joints (such as arthritis, backache, sprains). Menthol and methyl salicylate present in the gel works by causing the skin to feel cool and then warm. This feelings on the skin distract you from feeling the aches/pains deeper in your muscles and joints.

Take the required quantity of the gel and apply on the affected area as required. Do not apply this gel on open wounds, chapped or dry, irritated or burned skin. Before using this medication, tell your doctor if you have asthma, liver disease or bleeding/clotting disorders. This medication may make the treated area more sensitive to the sun so limit your exposure to sun.

Skin irritation or rash:

Avoid hot showers or baths because hot water can irritate the skin. Make sure to pat dry your skin after a bath or shower. Do not rub or scratch the affected area. Leave the skin exposed to the air as much as possible. Water containing chlorine can make most skin problems worse, so avoid swimming. Avoid excessive sun exposure.

  • Oxalgin nano gel should be used with caution in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before using.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, if happens rinse it thoroughly with water.
  • Tell your doctor about all the medicines you use, including prescription and non-prescription medicines and herbal supplements.
