What is ORAXIN?
- ORAXIN contains Cyproheptadine, Sorbitol and Tricholine
What ORAXIN is used for?
- ORAXIN is used for loss of appetite, weight loss, anorexia nervosa, and as an adjunct to anti-tubercular and antiretroviral regimens for weight gain
- In children, it is indicated in underweight children who have inadequate dietary intake or loss of appetite and children suffering from anemia, liver or digestive disorder

Talk to your doctor if you:
- are allergic to any other ingredients of this medicine
- have heart problem
- have asthma
- have high blood pressure
- have eye problem
- stenosing peptic ulcer
- symptomatic prostatic hypertrophy
- bladder neck obstruction or pyloroduodenal obstruction
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine
- Your healthcare provider will prescribe the right dose for the children based on their age and weight
- Do not drive or operate machinery, since this medicine may cause drowsiness
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
- MAO inhibitors
- CNS depressants like, hypnotics, sedatives, tranquilizers and antianxiety agents
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- The dose is based on age, body weight and disease condition
- Shake the bottle well before use
If you take more ORAXIN
- If you take more of this medicine, talk to your doctor or go to your nearest hospital immediately
If you forget to take ORAXIN
- If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it, however if it is nearly time for the next dose skip the missed dose
If you stop taking ORAXIN
- Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells to do so
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
