OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET contains Olmesartan which belongs to the group of medicines called Angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults, children and adolescents (from aged 6 years to less than 18 years).
Hypertension is a condition in which the force of the blood against the blood vessel walls is too high which is characterized by headache, irregular heartbeat, vision changes, feeling of overtiredness, nausea, vomiting, confusion, anxiety and chest pain
Your doctor may advice you to take regular exercise such as walking or swimming, low salt diet, giving up smoking and alcohol drinking, which helps to reduce blood pressure effectively during treatment with this medicine.
OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney, liver or heart problems. Your doctor may check your kidney function test, blood pressure and the amount of electrolytes (Ex. potassium) in your body prior to the treatment with OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET or at regular intervals along with the treatment.
OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET is not recommended in early pregnancy and must not be taken when more than 3 months pregnant. It is also not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.
OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children (below 6 years of age) and should be used with caution in children and adolescents (6 to 18 years of age). OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above).
The most common side effects of taking OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET are dizziness, nausea, headache, diarrhoea and stomach pain. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
Used in adults, children and adolescents (aged 6 to 18 years):
OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET relaxes blood vessels and thus lowers blood pressure by blocking the effects of Angiotensin II (a substance produced in the body which causes the narrowing of blood vessels).
Take OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you based on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Headache:
Drink ample amount of water and avoid skipping meals. Get adequate rest. Try to be relaxed and stress free. Apply pain relieving balm on your forehead if necessary. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Nausea or vomiting:
Stick to simple meals while taking this medicine. Avoid eating oily rich, fried or spicy foods. Do not lie down or sleep immediately after eating. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Diarrhea:
Drink lot of fluids, such as water to keep yourself hydrated. Avoid eating high-fat or spicy foods. Try to avoid taking any medicine on your own to treat diarrhea and consult your doctor if the symptom gets worse.
Stomach pain:
Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have smaller meals more frequently. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. If the symptom does not improve, consult your doctor.
Tiredness:
Drink plenty of fluid and eat a balanced diet and frequent meals. Do regular minimal exercise and follow a regular sleep schedule. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET is not recommended in early pregnancy and must not be taken when more than 3 months pregnant, as it may cause serious harm to the baby if used after the third month of pregnancy. Consult your doctor before taking OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET.
OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Your doctor may choose another treatment especially if you want to breastfeed when your baby is a newborn or born prematurely. Consult your doctor for advice before taking OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET.
Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel dizzy or sleepy after taking OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET. Consult your doctor before taking OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET.
OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET should be taken with caution in patients with kidney problems. Consult your doctor before taking OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET.
OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes). It should be used with caution in patients having liver disease. Consult your doctor before taking OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET.
OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you are allergic to Olmesartan or any other ingredients of this medicine.
OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET should be taken with caution in patients with heart failure or problems with heart valves or heart muscles. Consult your doctor before taking OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET.

Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Overdosage symptoms of OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET are low blood pressure, fast heart rate, slow heart rate (bradycardia) if vagal nerve stimulation occurs.

Can OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET be taken by patients with kidney problems?
OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET should be taken with caution in patients with kidney problems. Your doctor may monitor your kidney function test before and during treatment with this medicine to prevent the risk of kidney damage or any unusual effects due to the accumulation of medicine in the body.
What precautions do I need to follow while taking OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET?
Patients taking OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET must inform their doctor about their pre-existing disease conditions like kidney, heart or liver problems. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any unusual symptoms after taking OLRIGHT 40MG TABLET.
