Talk to your doctor before taking this OLMIN LN 40MG, if you:

  • are allergic to OLMIN LN 40MG or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have hypotension, poor cardiac reserve, heart failure
  • suffer from yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice) or problems with drainage of the bile from the gallbladder (biliary obstruction e.g. gallstones)
  • have diabetes or impaired kidney function
  • have kidney or liver problems
  • have severe vomiting, diarrhoea, treatment with high doses of water tablets (diuretics) or if you are on a low salt diet
  • have increased levels of potassium in your blood
  • have problems with your adrenal glands
  • Olmesartan contains contains lactose (a type of sugar). If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product

  • aldesleukin, quinidine, phenytoin, rifampicin, erythromycin, other anti-hypertensive medicines
  • potassium supplements, a salt substitute which contains potassium, water tablets (diuretics) or heparin (for thinning the blood)
  • enalapril, lisinopril, ramipril
  • aliskiren
  • lithium (a medicine used to treat mood swings and some types of depression) 
  • Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory (NSAIDs) medicines (medicines used to relieve pain, swelling and other symptoms of inflammation, including arthritis)

  • Swallow the tablets whole with a sufficient amount of water (e.g. one glass)
  • The tablets should not be chewed

  • If you have taken more OLMIN LN 40MG, talk to your doctor or local hospital accident and emergency department
  • Always take the container and this leaflet with you

If you forget to take OLMIN LN 40MG

  • If you have forgotten to take your medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is due within 2 hours, take the dose now and skip the next one

If you stop taking OLMIN LN 40MG

  • Do not stop taking OLMIN LN 40MG until the doctor has told you to do so
