OFTIROL M TANGY ORANGE FLAVOUR SUSPENSION is used to treat different kinds of bacterial and parasitic infections (caused by different kinds of bacteria or parasites), diarrhea (loose, watery stools that occur more often than usual) and systemic infection (an infection that is in the bloodstream).
OFTIROL M TANGY ORANGE FLAVOUR SUSPENSION should be used with caution in patients with liver problems, kidney problems and heart disease. OFTIROL M TANGY ORANGE FLAVOUR SUSPENSION is not recommended for use by pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking it.
The most common side effects of OFTIROL M TANGY ORANGE FLAVOUR SUSPENSION are nausea, headache, sleeplessness, genital itching in women, dizziness, vaginal inflammation, diarrhoea and vomiting. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.

- skin rashes with blistering, peeling or bleeding of the skin around the lips, eyes, mouth, nose and genitals
- serious but very rare side effect is a brain disease (encephalopathy)
- blistering or bleeding of the skin around the eyes, mouth, lips, nose and genitals
- red, scaly widespread rash with bumps under the skin and blisters accompanied by fever
- steven johnson syndrome - severe blistering rash where layers of the skin may peel off
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Nausea / Vomiting:
Take this medicine with or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil-rich or spicy foods. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Headache:
Rest and relax. Drink plenty of fluids such as water or electrolytes. Apply a pain-relieving balm on the head if required. Do not consume alcohol. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Dizziness:
If you feel dizzy, keep your eyes closed sit or lie down. Do not drive or operate machinery. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Diarrhea:

ALCOHOL

KIDNEY

LUNGS
OFTIROL M TANGY ORANGE FLAVOUR SUSPENSION should be used with caution in patients with a lung transplant. Consult your doctor before using it.
HEART DISEASE

OTHERS
Before using OFTIROL M TANGY ORANGE FLAVOUR SUSPENSION, inform your doctor if you:
- have a disease of the nervous system
- are on hemodialysis
- have a history of joint problems or rheumatoid arthritis
- are suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, seizures, stroke
- have decreased in blood minerals
