NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET contains Nimesulide which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is used to treat inflammatory conditions including joint disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, post traumatic and post operative painful condition and fever. NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET is also used to treat acute pain in orthopaedic, ENT, dental and mild to moderate pain of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Your doctor might advise regular liver function tests during treatment with NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET.
NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET is usually advised as a second line of treatment for a short duration of time in order to relieve symptoms.
NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET is not recommended in case of active stomach or duodenal ulcers, alcoholism, drug addiction, cerebrovascular bleeding or bleeding disorders, severe clotting disorders, severe heart, kidney or liver impairment, fever and/or flu-like symptoms, a history of recurrent ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding.
NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET is not recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy and in breast feeding women.
NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET is not given to children and adolescents below 12 years of age. It should be used with caution in elderly patients.
The most common side effects of taking NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET are vomiting, diarrhoea or nausea and changes in the level of liver enzymes. Consult your doctor if above side effects does not improve.

NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET works by blocking the enzyme involved in the production of certain chemical substances during inflammation, which are responsible for causing pain, redness, swelling and fever in the body. Hence decreasing the fever, pain and swelling caused after injuries.
Take NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET as advised by your physician. It can be taken with or without meals.
For Tablet, Capsule: Swallow NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
For Dispersible Tablet: Disperse NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET in the specified quantity of water as mentioned in the label. Consume the mixture immediately after reconstitution.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Continue to take NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET for the stipulated duration prescribed by your doctor to achieve better results.
Stop taking NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Nausea or Vomiting:
Take this medicine just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich or spicy foods. If the symptoms do not improve, contact your doctor.
Diarrhoea:
Drink lots of fluids, like water, fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine on your own without consulting your doctor. If the symptoms do not improve, contact your doctor.
NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET is not recommended for use in the third trimester of pregnancy and women planning to have a baby because it may cause many malformations in neonates. If needed dose will be adjusted by your doctor. Consult your doctor before taking.
NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking it.
Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel dizzy, head spinning sensation or excessive sleepiness after taking NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET.
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended while taking NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET.
NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe impairment in kidney function. Consult your doctor before taking it.
NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe impaired liver function and liver failure. Consult your doctor before taking it.
Do not take NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET if you are allergic to Nimesulide or any history of hypersensitivity reactions (Ex. bronchospasm, rhinitis, urticarial, nasal polyps) or any ingredients of this medicine.
NIMUPAIN 100MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe heart failure. It should be used with caution in patients with impaired heart function, uncontrolled hypertension, established ischaemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease, and/or cerebrovascular disease.
