INTRODUCTION

NEOPRIDE contain Levosulpiride which belongs to a group of medicine called gastrointestinal prokinetics. It is indicated for the treatment of different gastrointestinal problems like functional dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, diabetic gastroparesis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease is a digestive disease in which stomach acid or bile irritate the food pipe lining which cause burning pain in the chest that usually occur after eating and worsens when lying down. NEOPRIDE works by increasing the movement of stomach and intestines and prevents reflux (acid going up to the food pipe) and quicken gastric and gall bladder emptying.

During normal digestion, the stomach contract to help break down food and move it into the small intestine. Diabetic gastroparesis disrupts the stomach contraction, which can interrupt digestion. NEOPRIDE also has gastro kinetic effect and improves glycemic control in diabetic gastroparesis.
